You're Invited: Wscripted's NY Screening of YOU RESEMBLE ME đ€©
Happy Halloween! đ In this newsletter, we are pleased to invite you to Wscripted's special NYC screening of YOU RESEMBLE ME, to celebrate the release of Dina Amer's first feature! Applications are still open to pitch Elevation Pictures, Film Forge, Kindred Spirit, while Storyteller Club Fellowships close today!
A very special collab: YOU RESEMBLE ME screening in NYC! And you're invited!
For the first time, Wscripted is honoured to co-host a screening with fellow Cannes Screenplay List Nominee Dina Amer for the release of her debut feature YOU RESEMBLE ME. Join us on November 8 at Angelika NY!
All members based in New York are invited to attend and meet in-person! đ A Q&A with Dina Amer and Wscripted's CEO Ellie Jamen, and networking drinks for Wscripted's members will follow the screening! Feel free to spread the word & invite your friends!
Executive produced by Spike Lee, Spike Jonze, Riz Ahmed and Alma Harâel, the film tells the true story of Hasna Ait Boulahcen, a woman who was falsely accused of being Europeâs first female suicide bomber. It follows two sisters on the outskirts of Paris and after the siblings are torn apart, the eldest, Hasna, struggles to find her identity, leading to a choice that shocks the world.
Stay tuned for a very special OPINION article about the film to be unveiled next week! In the meantime, make sure to book your ticket for Nov 8 at 7PM and WATCH THE TRAILER HERE!
Date: Monday, November 8 | Time: 7:00 PM ET | Location: Angelika NY, 18 W. Houston St.
