Wscripted: Cannes Film Festival in Review
Cannes Film Festival in Review:
This year in Cannes, we had the chance to continue our work to promote diverse writers through more initiatives:
Fourth Cannes Screenplay List
Presented by MUBI, the Vanessa Kirby-curated 2024 selection of top scripts by women and non-binary writers was announced in Deadline Hollywood - read announcement here.
“Produced by Visionaries” event
Co-presented by Forbes and startup Callo, our invite-only panel and cocktail focused on the New Class of producers reshaping storytelling, featuring Christine D’Souza Gelb (CEO 2AM, Exec Producer PAST LIVES), Alex Coco (Producer ANORA by Sean Baker, Winner Palme d’Or 2024), and Carlos López Estrada (Filmmaker BLINDSPOTTING, Producer DÌDI) for a fascinating conversation about their journey and vision as producers and creative entrepreneurs.
“Producers beyond bias” workshop
In partnership with the Cannes Film Market, this workshop welcomed 10 producers to test our AI-powered platform Wscripted+ and engage in meaningful conversations about analyzing character diversity in scripts with AI.
Join Wscripted+’s introduction bundle to understand how to leverage AI that supports writers and breaks entry barriers in the industry.
Over the last few months, Wscripted collaborated with producers and top companies including NBCUniversal to disrupt industry roadblocks and expand diverse writers discovery with AI.
We are excited to open our waitlist and launch a 6 months introduction bundle for producers, development executives, agents AND writers to join Wscripted+.
