MEET THE JURY FOR THE FOURTH CANNES SCREENPLAY LIST!

Wscripted is excited and honored to be working with Vanessa Kirby, Nathalie Álvarez Mesén, and Nathalie Marchak as this year’s jury. Read more about each jury member below!

Vanessa Kirby is an internationally acclaimed actress, known for her BAFTA-winning role of Princess Margaret in THE CROWN and her performance in PIECES OF A WOMAN, for which she won the Volpi Cup for Best Actress at the 2020 Venice Film Festival and received nominations from the Oscars, Golden Globes, BAFTAs, and SAG Awards. In 2021, Kirby co-founded her production company Aluna Entertainment, alongside former Film4 exec Lauren Dark, with the mission of championing female creatives and stories. Aluna Entertainment secured a multi-year first look deal with Netflix shortly after to create female led cinema and television, who are developing a number of projects alongside the most exciting filmmakers with the same mission. ✒️ 🎬

It is a pleasure to join Wscripted on this brilliant initiative. There is still such a clear disparity between the number of male and female led projects, and I am so pleased to unite with Wscripted to support and elevate the next generation of formidable female talent that I know are going to shape the cinema of the future.
