OPINION: You Resemble Me - Join us at Angelika NY tomorrow!
We were pleased to publish a new OPINION article about YOU RESEMBLE ME written by Samah Meghjee. YOU RESEMBLE ME, the debut feature by fellow Cannes Screenplay List Nominee Dina Amer, tells the true story of Hasna Ait Boulahcen, a woman who was falsely accused of being Europe’s first female suicide bomber. Executive produced by Spike Lee, Spike Jonze, Riz Ahmed and Alma Har’el, "The film is a testament to Amer’s brilliant direction. Her dedication to getting to know the real people in Hasna’s life and to shoot in the actual locations where Hasna’s life took place serve the film immensely."
