News: Wscripted's talent platform becomes Wscripted+!

In recent months, our team at Wscripted has been focused on developing Wscripted+, the first social-driven AI literary platform designed to revolutionize the discovery of diverse writers. We are excited to finally open up our waitlist and invite our community of writers to join!

Our new platform, Wscripted+, was developed based on feedback from busy production companies, talent agencies, studios, and sales agents. It accelerates the process of reviewing project submissions and powers the discovery of new writers. Furthermore, Wscripted+ enables writers and filmmakers to be discovered and share their projects while managing who can view to safeguard copyright. One of our most innovative feature allows producers to receive project recommendations tailored to their interests, representing a significant advancement in the discovery of projects and writers.

Why did we create Wscripted+? We strongly believe that the discovery of writers should be democratized and not confined to the subjective evaluations and scores of readers. With Wscripted+, we harness AI to fight the intrinsic biases in the industry that favor "vetted" or "network-referred" writers. We believe AI can drive positive social impact and have built Wscripted+ with security and AI ethics as a priority to protect the confidentiality and copyright of writers’ work. After months of developments, we are thrilled to finally open up our waitlist and invite you to formally join Wscripted+ by subscripting to our Writers membership at wscripted.co/plus. 

IMPORTANT: Wscripted+ is an AI-powered and project-focused platform that replaces our former talent platform, which is no longer in service. How Wscripted+ Works:

1. Create Your Account: Become a member by choosing the Wscripted+ Writers membership for $10/month at wscripted.co/plus, after which you will receive an email with details to create your account. Our Wscripted+ Writers membership allows you to upload two projects per month, which will also be featured on the discovery page. You can upload two new projects each month, it’s free to host and promote your projects after they are uploaded.

2. Upload and Edit Your Projects: With each upload, Wscripted+ generates a project page with an industry standard coverage, faster speed audio, and diversity analysis. The coverage includes a logline, short and long summary, character breakdown, language, genre, and comparative titles. To edit the logline, short summary and long summary, click on the “edit” icon, make your edits and save changes so they are reflected on your project page.

3. Share Your Projects: Share your project with industry professionals by clicking on the “Share” icon and adding their email, or by sharing the link of your project, which will request your approval for access, similar to Google Docs. Invited professionals can view and listen to your full project and coverage with our audio player, allowing faster reviews on Wscripted+. You can also download the coverage in PDF.

4. Project Discovery: Wscripted+ automatically features projects of members with the Writers membership on the discovery page and promotes them to producers based on their creative interests. You will receive access request from producers interested to read. Our team is excited about the discovery feature powered by AI as we believe it’s a real breakthrough which brings us closer to resolving the content bottleneck that hinders new writers' discovery.

5. Upcoming Features: Our team is actively working on new features that will be released on the platform soon, including:

   • Writers’ Page, which enables writers to feature a bio and list all their projects.

   • Non-AI Uploads, which enables writers to upload projects without AI.

   • Draft Comparison Feature, which lets professionals and writers upload a new version of their draft to be featured on the platform, as well as generate comparison analysis of how the latest changes impact the overall story and character arcs.

   • Narrative Analysis, an objective review of projects based on decision-makers’ expertise to help our writer members refine their projects to stand out to producers, agents, development executives, publishers.

   • Project development, suggestions to improve your draft based on the feedback and notes of consultants, producers, executives, editors and co-writers you work with.

6. Feedback from Members: As a member, you can give us your feedback and request features you would like us to build to improve the discovery and review of your projects. Your input as a writer will be very valuable as we continue building Wscripted+ so we can succeed in democratizing writers discovery and breaking entry barriers in the industry.

Ambassador Program Relaunch:

We are excited to be relaunching our Ambassador program! Ambassadors receive one month free on Wscripted+ for each friend they refer who signs up to a membership. Our Ambassador program is a chance to become an active supporter of Wscripted+ to participate in our mission to change the industry for the better.

To participate, simply submit the form below to invite industry friends such as fellow writers, filmmakers, actors, producers, agents, development or acquisition professionals to Wscripted+. Our new platform is open to everyone, you can invite any writer or industry professional to Wscripted+. For each referral who sign-up to a membership, we will apply a 1 month free coupon to your Wscripted+ account. Applications for Wscripted’s Fifth Cannes Screenplay List will open in January 2025. Nominees will be featured on our new platform Wscripted+. We will contact former nominees in January 2025 with details and exciting news related to production funding.

Other Programs:

Wscripted is working on launching several new initiatives in 2025, as well as a development and production funding program aimed at boosting the careers and increasing the number of films produced by women and non-binary writers.
